Awana clubs

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, or AWANA Clubs, is our Wednesday night program for children from 2 year olds-6th grade. The AWANA program is a wonderful way for your children to learn, memorize, and understand scripture verses found in the Bible.

Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our program offers a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community.

As a ministry leader for nearly 60 years, Awana is making an impact. A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!

Each week, more than one million kids ages 2 to 18 participate in Awana. Over 12,000 churches in the U.S. and 6,500 internationally run Awana programs that change young lives through biblical truth.

Our AWANA Commander is Judy Morton, and she invites you to join our AWANA program each Wednesday night during the school year at 6:00! See Awana Club Calendar for upcoming events and keep up with us on Facebook - Southside Awana!

Due to COVID precautions, this year we will start our year with a different approach called Awana At-Home.  See below for our plan of action and other information.

AWANA At-Home

AWANA At-Home is a small group time that families can do together.  We suggest that each Wednesday evening, you sit down together as a family and conduct your own Awana session.  Each week we will post an agenda that you can follow.  It will include a brief worship time, your child's weekly assignment and instructions on how to get credit for handbook time.  Just for fun and extra points, we will still have theme nights so maybe it will feel a little like our Awana nights at church.  I hope you enjoy your small group time! Check out and like our facebook page - Southside Awana - for updates, announcements, and some fun stuff through the year.
